upmystreet.com has lots of info about all sorts of things. mouseprice is good for checking on the value of a property.

Good luck to her, we did lots of moves before the internet and it is not easy. A good tip for making friends after a move is to accept absolutely every invitation offered, whatever it is, for the first 6 months and that way you get to know people and can start to be choosy.

nina my DH has been in the Hull area (sorry to anyone who lives there) this week with work and even the people who live there say its not a good place to be, he said where he was very grim!

If she posts on Mumsnet she will get someone who can help with the area and schools.

Hope she get the info she needs, its hard to move into an area where you don't have any inside information.

But every town has its good and bad areas. Good luck

Are there any netters from the Hull area ??

DD and family are moving to the area for SIL work. I'm looking for the heads up on the good and bad areas for them to be looking for rental property.
She's found one she likes near Pickering Park ???
