when these happier moments are a great comfort

Thanks, nellie that's right. She has been living with a life-threatening illness for over a year now, and we cherish every moment. We sit in the hospice and reminisce about the happy, funny memories and noticed that it must feel like snoozing on a sun lounger at times for my sister, drifting in and out and hearing the voices of her loved ones around her.

When from a friend who works in a hospice the theme is living with cancer ...not dying from it enjoy how little time you have left..knowing this helps to take the fear from the dreaded diagnosis...hope you can enjoy the time left for you all as a family love nelliexxx

Oh when; big hug....

Been sitting with my sister in the hospice, where she is sufficiently sedated and free of pain for us all to appreciate a breather, and enjoy each others' company. What a great arrangement hospices are, with staff who surround us with love, and tell my brother-in-law off if he doesn't eat his five a day that are provided in the home-cooked meals they cook for him whilst he stays around the clock. We really are fortunate that she is there

Listening to the cd's I've just bought in town. I went in to buy one [Cate le Bon; Cirq...Tom Ravenscroft has been playing it all week on the radio] and got carried away. Currently listening to Frank Turner [he's the one who kicked of the Olympic opening ceremony]. I'm cheering myself up due to my post Olympic sad state . It's working . Till I get the next credit card bill that is.....

Attacked the "pink room" (3 GDs) today, once more re- ordering little Polly Pocket things etc., and changing the bedding on the bunk beds. I found:

3 hairbands
7 bobbles
3 pairs of little knickers
2 pairs of socks
1 pair of leggings
2 T shirts
1 pair of PJ bottoms
2 Fruit Shoot bottles (empty)
My pink hairbrush
A pair of flowery boots
Three boxes of sundae glasses that I bought for Christmas for my DD 4 years ago...???

Sitting in the sun and on the computer, anything but doing the packing. I am off to Brussels tomorrow to see the flower carpet in the Grand Place.
