I remember telling someone at school that I was 11 when I wasn't quite....I really felt guilty for a long while about that!

Got up late today as my cat woke me yowling at 4am and it took a while to get back to sleep, so I woke at 9 and have been running late since. She's old and has developed this yowl lately, and I wonder if she's getting a little confused... I went down and offered her her food again and she ate and went quiet.

Watched the men's triathlon at intervals this morning, amazing ending with Brownlee walking over the line! And what a test that is.
No, I haven't watched very much and mostly the water events, but I got caught up in this one.

Sorry to hear the pup is with you OGM (that sounds vaguely rude somehow ) I often feel like that before my birthday too but not, usually, before my husband's! The way to look at it is that it's a long time until you can add 'you know' and at least you are younger than my husband.

I am one of the people who would rather keep my anonymity but I am feeling a little jealous of the impending fun!

Phoning, for nearly 4 hours, loads of caravan sites, but all, not surprisingly, fully booked. Still waiting to hear that the car`s done, they`re supposed to be doing it today.

OGM How lovely...we share the same birthday. I shall be 71 years young tomorrow. Now come on, give yourself a real treat. We shall go for lunch at a nice little restaurant [not posh] but good wholesome home-made food. Have decided to have my real "treat" staying in a hotel in Glasgow on the occasion when Gransmeet later in month. I shall raise a glass of cheer to you tomorrow.

Wet rainy day here but I had good news at the hospital - another X-ray shows the bone healing so no operation needed! I could have hugged the Dr.
Sling for two more weeks and then back for more X-rays.
Trip to France now all go for Thursday only for about a week then home to finish clearing this house.

OGM Now that reply makes me . Simple pleasures can mean so much...especially to we Leos. Our restaurant is at Glenbarr...it's a village shop/post office/garden centre with a lovely small restaurant. We shall have a glass of wine and a simple 'though delicious lunch. At six sharp, I shall have a G&T and Mr soop will have a large dram of his favourite malt. I'm really pleased to hear that you will be celebrating. We Leos know to have a good time. Hope that your day is sun and fun-filled.

Soop, have you tried the Argyll at Bellochantuy? Their food has always been good when we`ve been.
Have been making a decision, and have decided that as we aren`t tied to looking after little grandson when he starts school next month, we`re going to go away in September instead, especially as we still haven`t got the car back. We`ve booked in at a caravan site at Seahouses in Northumberland for 10 nights.

number Yes, the Bellochantuy is good. We've taken friends there in the past. Do you remember the Hunting Lodge? It is under new management. It really has had a super make-over. The difference is amazing. Will ask Mr soop the new name when he comes in from the garden. He says it's now called 'Putechan.' Campbeltown was awarded lottery funds and now has a very smart refurbished hotel. Shops are looking so much more attractive. Many nice new flats being constructed. The town deserves the upgrade. Northumberland sounds beautiful. Never been there. Hope that you enjoy the break.

Soop, I`ve just been reading about an art exhibition and auction in Campbeltown, do you have any pictures in the exhibition? We never went to the Hunting Lodge, but have been reading about the refurbished Putechan, it looks and sounds lovely. Hopefully we can try it next year, God willing, as my MIL used to say.

After a sleepover yesterday I've spent my birthay on Granny duty again! But it has been great. GD aged 20 months woke me up at 6.15 and the day has flowed since............2 hours swimming at Family Fun Time with GS2 then visit to a castle with two GS, then home to their house for birthdastea then home to dear DH who had produced a Michelin level meal......................now for some sleep!!
