Jacey aren't the local cherries wonderful? I've been to Brogdale, but the other week went on a tour of East Malling Research Institute, where they deal mainly in fruit. It was fascinating, and I'd been moaning about having to go, so served me right.

Thanks all for good wishes - concert went fine, but it was an uphill struggle for me. Don't think the audience noticed any problems.

Going to talk to PD nurse tomorrow so hopefully she will have some good suggestions - she is a lovely lady and very experienced and professional - we both have a lot of confidence in her.

Croup is so grim - it is horrid to watch - you feel so useless. I hope all is well now.

Wimbledon final today - enjoy it!!

Heavens all this babysitting! I spent last night in the out-of-hours clinic in the Western General at Swindon with the 11 month old who has croup. It's horrible to hear and none of us got a wink of sleep for all the barking and wheezing - poor little fellow, you feel so helpless
I thought it was wet, wet, wet in Fife but it hasn't stopped raining since I arrived in the deep south on thursday. I will be with D3 tomorrow in Maidenhead and on tuesday hope to see the Olympic torch flash past the A4 - better be dry for that!

Ariadne - I wouldn't limit it, because there's always the chance that some viewers may pass on info. to others, even if they cannot afford to buy themselves. The more people who know your house is for sale, the better. Good luck!

I'm in Didcot for the weekend and at the moment babysitting so that DS and partner can go out in the rain for a meal. DS and I went to the cinema - Ice Age 4 in 3D - with the boys. The formula has run its course but the 3D effects were quite good. At least I didn't fall asleep this time.
Mishap I hope you are getting through your concert without too much pain and stress. You are having a hard time at present.

Hmm, might limit your options though, Ariadne. I think it might put people off viewing if they had to provide financial details to the Estate Agent beforehand, although I agree it's foolish not to know roughly how much you can afford! I do sympathise - I absolutely hate the whole process of selling your home!

More viewings today - 4 lots of very nice people who loved the house. They all like it...just don't/ can't buy it!

Someone said, some time ago, something about asking only for viewers who were in a position to buy. What do you all think? We've had a couple who found they couldn't afford it after seeing a mortgage advisor. Surely they should know first? Think I'm being naive?

Having a lazy unproductive lonely day.Watched the rain,vented my anger and frustration with my exDIL by writing it out 'Drafts' section of Windows Live Mail.
Started to watch tennis -boring so had another mini Magnum.
Went out at 4.p.m. to help (as promised) with refreshnents at Junior School Music Festival.Got there to find it had been cancelled because of flooding affecting electrics.Nobody had called to tell me,Grr.
On the way back I did get 2 jars of lovely local honey from my beekeeper friend in the village.

Then I had more time to go on GN and play bridge on the computer.

Hope you get a decent sleep Mishap - early bed?
Woke up early, felt glum, went to Woburn deer park for a walk. Spent 20 minutes under an oak tree in the pouring rain, watching some very beefy stags watching us. Magnificent bunch of batchelors they are too.
DH has been wrestling with trying to fit mud guards (go figure) to his bike all afternoon. One size definitely does NOT fit all it seems.

Spent day at Brogdale ...National Fruit Collection.
It didn't rain and I've beenscoffing sampling a variety of cherries!!
And bought some cherry brandy liquier ...but don't tell anyone please.
