bags is just fine - Annobel and I have just met up with her for lunch. We all recognised each other immediately and didn't stop chatting till we parted an hour or so ago. I'm sure bags will be back on Gransnet in a few days when she gets back home. smile

Where's Bags, by the way? Haven't seen her around for a few days....
(Not that I'm suggesting anything is wrong, you understand.)

I have given my daugher my forum name and password for GN and my expat forums and she would let my virtual friends know. When I am going away, I do mention it and then try to keep in touch from around the world.

Or, if we ever leave for a little while (as if!) we should agree to pop in intermittently to post "I'm not dead".

We need a specisal thread for people to say that they'll be away for a week, month or so, then at least alarm bells will ring if someone isn't around but they haven't forewarned us.

I would so have to find a way back to see if anyone was missing me.

Many of us Gransnetters come and go so probably wouldn't be missed however there are some who's daily presence is a given and who would be missed quickly.

Perhaps we should just all agree that if we are not around for a while (say 3 months) then we have gone to a better place, be that the Seychelles or you know where ! smile

glassortwo Wed 04-Jul-12 14:05:33

jingle I dont think we would be in a position to worry too much about it grin

j04 Wed 04-Jul-12 14:01:52

TBH I think letting Gransnetters know would be the least of anyone's worries. (IYSWIM)

No offence. smile

Reading on another thread a few of us seem to have the same worry, how do we let our friends on Gransnet know of our demise, does anyone have any good ideas on how to get around this?
