We had a lovely day on Sunday too, the weather was good to us, so DGD could be in the garden showing off all her birthday gifts to her little friends and family.

sunshineWell went to Family Barbie and had a superb time , one of the best , really was wonderful to see all the family together , which happens to us fairly regularly . W e are blessed . The only downside was came back bitten to pieces by "mossies" as we all were . One thing you forget about fine Summer evenings , and lets face it we haven"t too many of those of late have we girls

Our GD [7] has arranged a fete in our garden for her cousins - she's charging them too!!! She loves arranging things and giving her instructions - a future PM in the making? DH has played along and put bunting out and the gazebo so let's hope it really is a warm day so we can eat outside - guess who's been landed with getting some food together!!!

I'm with a Rotary Shelterbox (http://shelterbox.org/) at a local fete from midday; Theseus is at his Club's beer festival (behind the bar but beer will be taken!) weather is looking OK so far!

I may be running a taxi service later today..smile

Have just invited some friends for jazz on the lawn and Sunday lunch at the local country club (sounds terribly grand but isn't really) next Sunday or the one after. I am also wearing a white skirt embroidered with pink flowers today in a mood of optimism. I hope that doesn't put the mockers on the whole weekend for everybody. smile

All the family are coming round for tea as it's my birthday. I'm not going to chance my luck - we will be round the table in the dining room. We'll sit outside on Sunday (fingers crossed).

doing a sundance for the 4th August, it's my friends 50th party. She has a very small bungalow, and we will be in the garden, or playing sardines inside grin

How coincidental , the party we are going to is also for our DGD she will be 4 . The thing is though she is starting school in September , it seems so early , she is a bright little button and will do well , but still flowers

Yes, my DGD is having a third birthday party on Sunday so hope it is dry at least, she is to unveil her new wendy house which she is very proud of.

We are attending a family birthday/ barbie tommorrow . Praying for the weather to remain fine , although they have got a gazebo should it rain . Is anyone else in similar position ? [Smile]
