gracesmum please don't give yourself a hard time. Just look how many people want to get involved in the Midlands meet up. That is down to you.flowers
I think a lot of us have been where you are now, so just hang on in. Have a wine or winewine.
Or you could read some of greatnan's jokes
Best wishes

gracesmum how strange! I'm exactly the same. It must have been Mary Berry that did it as I'm here crying!sad

GN emoticons cover just about every eventuality don't they? Well chosen!
Thanks grannies, I have so much to be thankful for and life has been much harder on occasions in the past, so it has taken me a bit by surprise.

Just be gentle with yourself , think , I will get through today, that will be enough. [smiles to you]

Sometimes you can wash it away with a good weep and then recover with a brew or a wine or a cupcake or a Phone a Friend

(I do wish I could stop using so many exclamation marks - I think it's some sort of compulsion....confused)

Good advice, nightowl. Gracesmum, please don't feel guilty because you have nothing concrete to be sad about - it happens without rhyme or reason and to the best of us! Just be kind to yourself and accept that this is just one of those days, and I do hope it passes soon! Get out into that sunshine!

This blessed grey puppy can just descend at any time gracesmum (love its name by the way). I don't think you can force it to go, sometimes you just have to let yourself have a good old wallow and let it lift in its own time. Do something you enjoy that takes no effort (TV, duvet day). Just hold on to the thought that it will pass flowers

I have very little to complain about (apart from the usual) so why have I woken up close to tears, feeling neglected and insecure, very close to the edge? I was in tears watching Zara Phillips complete her dressage, hearing Mary Berry talk about losing her son and at her choice of music on Desert Island Discs.
I am "great" at dishing out the advice to others with problems or woes and I know that exercise/activity/maybe another cafetiere of coffee and my Kindle in the sun in the garden might all lift my mood, but I can't do it.sad
Help!
