Receiving a video link from my daughter of DGD, DGS andalittle friend, singing a pop song by Jess or Jessie,(sorry for ignorance), the girls age 6 and 7 were in white dresses and GS was supposed to be Stevie Wonder, with huge dark glasses, they were pretty damned cute!

Most days looking in the mirror, I'm disappointed - today, I thought, I look a tad better - I had to smile of course!

When out walking yesterday passing a young mum pushing her baby in a pram - the baby was laughing and gurgling happily - children laughing always brings a smile to my face!

Meeting my daughter's new lemon and white basset hound - Gertie! Then she pooed on the kitchen floor which confused our dog because he thought that was his job.

The really best bit was my 6 month old grandson, Bertie, giggling whenever the dog came into view. smile

Harvesting and cooking our first cabbage, second courgette and first shaw of potatoes to eat with pork chops, glazed with our own plum jam. Very tasty it was too. smile

Spending the day with DGD1 at Eton Dorney. We spent the night in a hotel in Windsor and traveled to Eton Dorney on a boat. She was so excited in her GB t-shirt and bogglers, waving her flag!

Meeting my new Pilates teacher. My DD and I start with him next week. He seems really nice with a sense of humour - he'll need it! Also discussing 'Cold Tea and Tears' by Mary Farmer with Mary Farmer at our Reading Group. A lovely lady who wrote about her life as a dietician - fascinating. Reminds me of Monica Dickens a little.

I am trapped in the house and garden a lot due to ill health and it's the little things that keep me going.

Today I saw a fledgling sparrow begging it's parent for food which the poor adult was supplying. Then the adult flew off so the fledgling started to feed itself but as soon as the adult returned it started begging again.

It reminded me of my girls when they were teenagers. It was amazing what they could do for themselves when I wasn't around smile
