Was it 'On the crest of a wave'....don't remember! Looked on wikipedia

Don't think it was 'Crest of a Wave', though thanks for the suggestion. Can't help feeling it was something like 'The Gang's all Here' but could be wrong....

tanith you are right, it was from It Ain't Half Hot. I was getting muddled up with the gangs.

According to Ralph Reader himself - '"Riding Along on the Crest of a Wave" became the "Gang Show" anthem'. The TITLE of the first ever Gang Show in the West End was 'The Gang's all here' - no doubt there would have been an opening number with the same title.
