Oh Bags I really like the . after etc. It's very satisfying. (Should I have put two there as it was the end of the sentence? confused again.

Now I want to remove the . after the etc because it seems superfluous even though I know it's correct.

I think it is OK eithe way. If you think it matters Bags put it in Pedants but then you would if you thought it did! smile !?! grin

Yes - especially if it's a grin - it doesn't really need an exclamation mark, either. I still tend to put one in though.....confused.....(!)

I find I quite like using emoticons as punctuation. By which I mean that if I want to put a wink at the end of a post or sentence, I don't usually think it needs a full stop as well. Has anyone else found this?
