Mums are so often having to switch concentration from one thing to another. How comforting to this mum that Tescos were on the ball, well done!

ninathenana Being fairly new to GN I'm not sure of the correct etiquete - is it alright to copy and paste your post onto my Facebook page?

Nina
That gave me goose pimples.
Hope you are all o.k. now.

Movedalot Thu 20-Sept-12 18:38:19

Nina I hope you have all stopped shaking. Well done Tesco

Well done Tesco flowers [flag]

Wow, scary stuff nina. It would be good to write to Tesco praising the assistant and the system so it could be part of their training across all the stores if it isn't already.

That particular store might have been aware of the man already but, wow, flowers for Tesco.

Hope you and your daughter are ok now. brew (at least)

Do we know if this is Tesco training or just a smart member of staff? Whichever, he/she deserves a pat on the back. How frightening for your daughter but it is unlikely that he could have abducted her son directly under her nose even though she was preoccupied – it's the mother's eye in the back of the head thing. Nevertheless one of those upsetting what if …

Glad this has all worked out perfectly ninathenana.

Hankipanki Thu 20-Sept-12 16:54:24

That is really scarey, but well done to the staff at Tesco.

Ella46 Thu 20-Sept-12 16:32:04

Wow! I'm seriously impressed by Tescos staff training. How very scary though, it could have been a completely different story.

Nanadogsbody Thu 20-Sept-12 16:29:53

That really, really frightens me. I hope this gets posted on Mumsnet too.

DD was in Tesco with both DGS on Tuesday, eldest (3) was standing right next to her when a man nelt down, ruffled his hair told him he was a lovely lad and would he like to come for a ride in his car !!!!!! angry

DD was busy paying so hadn't noticed, but a member of staff saw/heard it all. They must carry an alarm button because from no where 4 security guards surrounded this guy. By the time DD had spoken to security and left the store the man was in a police car with lights flashing being carted away.

flowers to Tesco, for their response and for the phone call later that day to check she was ok.
