The Beach Boys

Love 'em. Still play their music which takes me back........Oh dear I'm feeling very nostalgic today.

I turned over to Jools Holland just as The Beach Boys where singing Barbara Ann I thought they sounded good for their age's and for a live performance.I had Pet Sounds when I was young and played it every day,it is the same copy that is being advertised as Best of The Beach Boys on TV at the moment, Brian Wilson is a true living legend.

My son in law would love you all (he is the best son-in-law we could wish for) He is a great Beach boys fan, he downloaded loads of their music on to our computer, and he goes to any concert they are performing, when he can. As far as he is concerned Brian Wilson is the greatest! They certainly seem to have been around a long time.

I met Brian Wilson some years ago when we were both being interviewed (separately) on television. We chatted away while drinking coffee at six o'clock in the morning in the green room and he was a joy. Of course I knew who he was but I'm sure he didn't have clue about me, but he was very friendly and interested. An utterly charming and gentle man.

When I was a child I remember my mum buying a breakfast cereal for me because the competition on the packet was to win a pop single. Even though I was only about ten I'd already really got into pop music. One of the singles was 'God Only Knows' by the Beach Boys and that was the one we sent off the token for. Well I'm 56 now and i'm still waiting for that single!! I waited and waited and it never came [sad) . It's such a fantastic track. To this day I think of that when I hear the song!

Ahhh, yes! Fantastic. I have a Beach Boys Hits CD in my car and often play it. Takes me right back to beng a teenager

Always loved the Beach Boys sound I'll have to try and catch up with the program.. kitty
