Why have I lost the ability to handle a simple form.

I agree that we get out of practice. I used to be pretty good at Excel and coped easily when a new version came out but have had the latest one for nearly a year and still get confused. I think the trouble is that I don't do it very often now. Actually I did help very clever son out with Excel last wee because he had been looking at a problem for so long he could no longer see it. It took me ages but I found it eventually!

DH was only saying yesterday that he can't write any more because now we are retired we do it all on the computer. At work there was always a certain amount of writing.

I think it is horses for courses, if you had to fill in forms more often you would get back into the saddle very quickly.

Just think of all the things you are better at now!

Think ella may have the answer glass, other things to do and other priorities.

Filled in my tax return today. Some boxes had to be left blank rather than have a zero put in them. They don't tell you this until after you've moved to the next online page. Then you get a RED NOTICE:ERROR! ERROR!

How hard is it to tell people beforehand to leave a box blank if the answer is zero? Or even to programme a computer to accept zero as the same as blank?
Sigh.

I think we're supposed to be able to tell how form-makers' minds work sometimes.

A SIMPLE form?! - is there such a thing now? - lead me to it!

Don't worry glass - when out of the sort of environment where forms are the norm we soon lose the habit - but maybe our priorities have changed - and a jolly good thing too!

You aren't in the office environment now and I bet you are a mean builder/plumber/labourer/childminder/gardener etc not to mention a jhuge support to your husband.

You can't be superwoman forever!
