That's the first question for a baffling queries thread. Answers on a postcard, please.

Try washing up using your hands instead! grin gringrin (Sorry for being silly, its the way my mind works!)

Maybe the act of standing still makes the blood flow southwards to your feet, thus heating them up?
I usually have bare feet in the kitchen - especially when the underfloor heating is on [Oh Joy!] emoticon

If we had it, mamie! [wish emoticon]

Mamie Sat 06-Oct-12 11:59:03

Turn off the underfloor heating?

Sorry, Bags...I thought that Artalgia was the clever term for the hot-foot-condition. Hey ho! smile

Is67 over 50? And what difficulty? This country is going to the dogs. I fancy Italy or France. I'd prefer Italy but I only speak English or French.
I'm also fed up of the weather here. It's getting me down. Makes me feel sad and my joints ache!
Enough of my misery. It's Birmingham tomorrow. That's got to cheer me up. Hasn't it?

That's if I can decide what to wear!confused

Oh we'll. back to Bags' hot feet!

absentgrana Fri 05-Oct-12 15:32:43

With considerable difficulty once you're over 50 jeni.

jeni Fri 05-Oct-12 15:15:05

greatnan. How does one emigrate to New Zealand?

absentgrana Fri 05-Oct-12 15:06:00

jeni Bags is not joking. Jeremy Hunt, out new Minister for News Corporation Health Minister believes in homeopathy and voted in favour of reducing the legal limit for abortion to 12 weeks.

jeni Fri 05-Oct-12 15:03:12

You ARE JOKING!
Aren't you?confused

Bags Fri 05-Oct-12 15:00:51

The Health Minister does too confused

jeni Fri 05-Oct-12 14:52:36

HRH prince Charles does.

Bags Fri 05-Oct-12 14:48:37

Allright, jeni, I won't tell you wink

jeni Fri 05-Oct-12 14:45:42

bags. Don't tell me that you don't believe in homeopathy!shock

Bags Fri 05-Oct-12 14:38:57

It sems to be a homeopathic remedy. I won't be trying that but I might try a pillow. [wonders if a piece of that insulating material they use in food boxes would do.... easier to dry if splashed]

Bags Fri 05-Oct-12 14:35:55

OK, thanks.

No, I don't mind. I just wondered. More often than not I have cold hands and feet.

[goes to look up artalgia]....

absentgrana Fri 05-Oct-12 13:39:09

Maybe there is something about hands in water; in your case hands in hot water. Didn't it used to be a favourite trick for boys at boarding school to put a sleeping boys hand into a bucket of cold water to make him pee in his bed?

Ana Fri 05-Oct-12 13:28:36

Do you actually mind your feet being hot when you do the washing up, Bags, or was it just an idle 'why do they do that?'? (Not sure about that last question mark, but I felt it was necessary....hmm)

absentgrana Fri 05-Oct-12 13:28:03

I don't know why; I just find it helpful when I am ironing (which gives me hot feet) – and no, I iron with my hands and sometimes over my hands which makes them hot too.

soop Fri 05-Oct-12 13:24:43

Bags I googled hot feet: Artalgia. There is treatment for the condition. smile

jeni Fri 05-Oct-12 12:36:43

If you get the kids to do it, the question does not arise and you can stop worrying your little head about it![condescending male type]smile
