I read this in todays Telegraph, and thought there were some interesting ideas in it, especially about the reduction in "revenge" attacks.

Perhaps they have been taking lessons from the South African Truth and Reconcilliation Commission. An enlightened way of addressing justice and amnesty.

Thanks for the link to that, phoenix. I especially liked where it said that one of the problems with Western justice systems is that they don't have any way of helping to deal with the emotions of the victims.

I must confess that Grannylin helped, as I was looking all over the DT's site but couldn't find it.

I do think that it gives quite a bit of food for thought.
