My Aunt will be 100 in a months time and I really need help thinking about what to get her. She is in a nursing home, has very little memory, is in bed most of the time and really doesn't want for anything. I know her room will look like a florist as most people will get her flowers so that is out. I don't want to spend too much but want something small and pretty. Smellies are out too as she is quite allergic. She can't see to read either. Heeeeelp!!

nanapug what about a digital photo frame and set it up with photos all the family and you can set it to scroll through the photos.

Thank you Glass for that idea but her eyesight is too poor for that I fear, and also she does tend to throw things. It si a big problem x

Lovely, cosy Nighty? or Bedjacket? Ancient Uncle (92) really appreciated a jogging bottoms and top set, which he could wear as pyjamas but was respectable enough to appear in for breakfast if he was running late. One of the ladies in Uncle's care home has a cuddly (toy) Scottie dog which sits on her bed - it is apparently just like the Scottie she had as a girl. It is difficult isn't it? I shall be watching this thread for good suggestions.

I am going to definitely pinch that idea glass as my
Grandma at 96 is impossible to buy for. She has more nighties than
M & S and keeps Interflora in business . She loves
All her photographs around her and is running outbid space so the digital photo
Frame would be a fantastic idea for Christmas.

Does she like music and have access to a CD player? I appreciate that she may need someone to put it on, but a CD of some of the music she might have danced to when she was younger might be nice?

A visit, with a well-candled birthday cake.

An elderly relative of ours loves CDs with Scottish folk music, from her youth. What about Biscuiteers who deliver gorgeous tins of personalised hand iced freshly baked vanilla biscuits in shapes from anything to high heel shoes to London buses - they also make giant biscuits that are iced to look like birthday cards, so there's something on the website from £5 to £50. They're a favourite of mine for a gift that people just love, very spoily.https://www.biscuiteers.com/shop/greeting-cards/birthday/

I read that when the Queen Mum was well stricken in years, Prince Charles gave her an enormous luxury bath towel which wrapped her from nose to toe and she loved it. Thats a nice idea. Actually, I would like one now!
