DH & I first camped on Arran in 1973 and we've been back more times than I remember. It was our favourite place to go in the Easter holidays with the children and last year our grandaughter took her first steps there.

I used to think of it as my island in the sun, but that's probably the rose coloured specs at work. Glen Rosa has a special place in my heart. smile

Wonderful pics, the nearest we`ve got to Arran so far is looking across from Skipness Castle, but hope to go across on the ferry from Claonaig one of these days.

We also did much the same on the island of Islay. Stayed overnight in a cottage next door to Bowmore distillery. grin

A beautiful island, Bags. We attended a whisky tasting "do" at the distillery ...great fun...pipers and plenty of Malts to savour. Thank goodness our friend isn't into whisky. She was the driver! wink

Fabulous pics! smile

A few miles down the road from where I live, I can see the Arran peaks.
