I am absolutely riveted - frequently aghast - at this shopping channel!! I love the style of sales patter, the way the presenters apparently buy into every product they are promoting and I find it totally compelling!!
I have never bought anything, some of their stuff seems really "cheap" but a lot of it is quite expensive and sometimes reputable brands so sometimes I wonder if there are some real bargains. I just love watching them "ooh "and "aah" over the creams/boots/jewellery but am uninterested in their homewares or gadgets.
Has anybody had any experience of shopping with QVC? Is their money back guarantee any good? And is there stuff overpriced tat or worth looking at?

One of my friends has bought quite a bit from this channel, and I don't think she's had any problems at all. However, our local jeweller has a sign which states that he would repair jewellery bought from this and similar shopping channesl only at the owner's risk, due to their inferior quality. hmm

I originally bought Liz Earle skin products from QVC but they're now available from John Lewis, or from the Liz Earle web site. One thing I did buy and fro which I am very grateful is my rechargeable floor sweeper. It was a Today's Special Value item and was cheaper than the same product in Lakeland, even with postage. However, I rarely look at the channel nowadays.

The jewellery does look quite light and tinny and some of it is grotesque - but rather like a freak show, often fascinating. Their postage charges are quite high and often wipe out the "saving" but I suppose if you live miles from shops that is acceptable.

Oh has sometimes bought things from QVC only ever had good quick service and the things he's bought have been good value for money, he recently bought me an adjustable portable hedge trimmer that is so light and robust compared to my old one much easier to use I think it was £40 so I think very reasonable. He also bought a better camera which he's had nothing but praise for... oh my I sound like an advert for them... he's never had to send anything back but I would have no reason to doubt the money back guarantee. I can't stand the channel myself but he enjoys it if he can't find something he wants to watch.
