Good to hear from you gracesmum - you'd gone a bit quiet on us.

I used Clinique for years too JeanA Then a couple of years ago I went to have a facial massage etc ( birthday gift from a friend) and the woman there told me Clinique was better on young skin and not really suitable when you get older. She said to use Nivea cream instead and to use a cleanser costing about a fiver made by L'Oreal - they do several skin type ones.
I do still use a good quality foundation though - had a Lancôme one which I must have left in a hotel bathroom when my last one was still almost full!!grin

crimson I suffered from blepharitis for several years - what a pain. Nothing help till someone recommended Simple eye make-up remover and gradually it got better and now I don't get it at all.
I also stopped using Clinique stuff which I had used for years. I now use a variety of much cheaper things, Nivea mainly, and the wrinkles don't seem to have got any worse.
Despite Clinique's claim to be hypoallergenic I suspect I was allergic to something in the products I was using.
Hope the weddings went well sunshine
We are just home from a week on the canals and there is a mountain of washing to sort and other stuff to unpack, but nice to be home.

Today I finished my Toby the Tram cake for little boy's first birthday party tomorrow. (See profile) Whew!! I used to sweat over these when the DDs were little but never thought I would somehow let myself in for doing it again 30 years on!!

Jess?

She must be related to my GD, Jess! I will have to bequeath them to her!

Good afternoon/evening!
Hope both the weddings went well. Don`t know where the day`s gone today. Cleaned the living room this morning, lounged about for a bit before getting in the bath, what happens when I`m in the bath? A flippin` parcel being delivered! Anyway, I shouted twice for her to put inside the door, eventually she got the message! Then went to the shop down the road for a few bits, lounged about again reading the paper I`d just bought, finally made dinner and we ate at 4pm, daughter`s just been on a flying visit, now it`s time to make tea!! And still nothing much has got done!

jeni Sat 10-Nov-12 17:32:59

Gd is definitely related to me! She wanted my pearls. Was fascinated by them!smile

crimson Sat 10-Nov-12 17:19:38

Jess; I find Simple nourishing eye make up remover brilliant for getting mascara off [even waterproof stuff]; I've got some Avene for sensitive eyes but it makes my eyes sore. I haven't got any eyebrows so I have to brush them on. When I do bother with make up these days I do worry that I've missed something [eg only one eyebrow or blusher on only one side, giving me cheekbone rather than bones].

Ana Sat 10-Nov-12 17:18:03

Glad it was a success, jeni! smile
