jenricks did you ever watch Brookside? If you did you could click on the thread about Brookside in Actives. (first one in the bar at the top of the page. Under Gransnet Forums)
jenricks Sometimes, high on a hill is a good place to be. Our wee Scottish village was cut off by floods recently. A deluge of water thundered down the hill and swamped the cottages beside the burn.
Just tell us something about yourself. Do you have family? Do you have a pet? There are many people who may enjoy talking to you. It's just that, at the moment, we have no idea about your likes and dislikes.
I like Lancastrians. jings...you ask where did I go....I didn't go far, have been painting a portrait of Mia - number'sall white cat. It's been a tricky one to get right. At the mo' I'm feeling right chuffed!
jings and so it was. A friend who lives half way down [or up] the hill, heard an almighty roar. Looked through her window to see her parked car being carried away on a torrent of water. It was a flash flood. Hailstones the size of plums [apparently]. We live just three miles outside the village. All we heard was a clap of thunder. Knew nothing of the mayhem until fire engines and police rushed by to close the main road through the village.
