Pete Tue 18-Dec-12 12:27:50

You will need a pint then....nothing worse than that....(snigger)

Anne58 Tue 18-Dec-12 12:30:45

It started in Waitrose and then got worse in the bank! Oh the shame!

Pete Tue 18-Dec-12 12:30:56

minds eye........fussy phoenix fighting over the last packet of mince pies grin

jeni Tue 18-Dec-12 12:32:08

Did you find a ladder in your tights? That always makes me feel embarrassed!

Ana Tue 18-Dec-12 12:32:46

And then eating them all in the bank! shock

Pete Tue 18-Dec-12 12:33:48

...bankers having to hide shopping as fussy hunts the 'last' packet.....grin

Anne58 Tue 18-Dec-12 12:38:30

Actually no, my card was declined. I had a problem with it in the village shop over the weekend, but so did lots of others as the card machine in there is a sort of dial up thing, and the connection was playing up. They did mention that it seemed to be mainly Nat west cards.

Soooo, today I go to Waitrose, went to pay, card declined. Left my shopping there while I went into the bank to ask what the hell was going on. Turns out the Mr P had been late transferring from the business account to the private one and there were "insufficient funds" blush

So, back to Waitrose to explain, had to ask them to take the shopping back (thank god it was only a packet of tagliatelle and some cilit bang and a few other random items)

Came home, phoned Mr P (NB I didn't shout, so extra points there I think) checked both accounts, the money had left the business one but hadn't landed in the private one. Must have been floating about in the ether somewhere.

Pete Tue 18-Dec-12 12:39:40

...and a ladder....dear me.....large one coming up (drink not a ladder) hmm

Anne58 Tue 18-Dec-12 12:42:39

jeni I very rarely go out sporting a frock these days, so tights related traumas are few and far between!

jeni Tue 18-Dec-12 12:43:36

I'm glad it was you and not Pete who made that remark.

Pete Tue 18-Dec-12 13:17:36

...so am I Jeni.... grin

Anne58 Tue 18-Dec-12 17:15:18

Well?

Anne58 Tue 18-Dec-12 19:50:33

???????????????????

Pete Tue 18-Dec-12 19:53:14

Whats up....hmm

Anne58 Tue 18-Dec-12 19:59:55

What's up? WHAT'S UP!? I asked for a drink hours ago, did I get one? Did I buffalo! I have now been even further traumatised by Asda, bloody Asda, I ask you!

Ana Tue 18-Dec-12 20:09:08

I think it's self-service in here nowadays, phoenix...wink

Pete Tue 18-Dec-12 20:11:01

Well I'd get you a drink phoenix...only its cash or IOUs only....No cards..... grin

Pete Tue 18-Dec-12 20:12:06

large scotch n soda then.....

Anne58 Tue 18-Dec-12 20:13:25

Mmmmm, yes please, easy on the ice! Some nuts would be nice.

Ana Tue 18-Dec-12 20:14:15

Oh, don't set him off....hmm

Pete Tue 18-Dec-12 20:14:43

..what about a 'half' for the bloke from Waitrose in the corner.... grin

Pete Tue 18-Dec-12 20:15:47

Still roasting ...ready later...

Pete Tue 18-Dec-12 20:16:48

nuts...not the bloke from 'the supermarket'

Anne58 Tue 18-Dec-12 20:33:13

Actually, I fancied cashews, salted.

(The staff in Waitrose were very good, they know me and NOT for all the wrong reasons!, so I will be going back in there tomorrow, now that the money that left the business account has finally landed! I will also be off to buy Mr. P one more present, although his passion for Queen (the band, not the sovereign, gawd bless 'er) does make one a tad suspicious!)

Pete Tue 18-Dec-12 20:44:06

...and a drink with coke !
