Did anybody see the parcel that fell from Santas sleigh on Christmas Eve when he passed this way? His sledge got a puncture as he was passing by, and the missing parcel fell straight down from the sky!
It was intended for some children who lived down on the bay. But now,I guess they will have to wait, perhaps another day!

Oh yes, me too! Sometimes I can manage a quite tuneful (but quiet) outward whistle, but only one note...and not the one I meant to come out.

Ok, you're on! Arm waving, that I can do, even the above the head type (yes, alright, my fingers do tend to go a bit numb after a while, it's that damn carpal tunnel thing) but whistling, well, that never was my strong point.

I seem to be only able to do the sort of inward, breathing in/sucking whistle, very feeble noise emitted when I attempt the blowing variety.

Hmm...that might be a bit too cheerful - how about "You'll never walk alone"?

I 'get'what you're saying, but I personally would be delighted to have a better one than last year, as it couldn't be much worse!

I loathe NY eve with a passion, and after working in a pub, (as I know you did too) when every drunken bum thinks they can maul and slobber over you, not a chance in hell mate!, I never even leave the house!

Ella that's what I mean, I too hope that it will be better, mainly with regard to the job thing, but all this kissing and hugging (not that I'm averse to kissing and hugging!) and "let's hope this year will be better than the last" type thing on New Years Eve makes we want to puke! Like I said, same old sh%t, with a different number on the end.

Let's be honest, if each year was better then the last, once one had reached a certain age, life would be so utterly perfect that one would barely be able to function for the permanent state of orgasm that would ensue from all that blissfulness!
