The arrogance of people who use Twitter to make defamatory/libellous statements just astounds me. If they claim they did not realise it was going to be so public, why use it? And who cares enough to hang on their every pronouncement anyway?

Apparently some idiots are defending her by saying that the girl's name was common knowledge - well it wasn't to me, and anyway that's not the point, there is an injunction preventing anyone from naming her in the media. I would imagine that includes Twitter.

I just don't "get her" full stop.
I know women are not defined by their husbands or partners, but she seems to take all the benefits of the status of her wee man and abuse her position whenever she can. She featured in the MacAlpine business and as for posing clad only in a bed sheet - would anybody have asked her is she hadn't been the Speaker's wife?

I'm also puzzled by her motivation - maybe excessive tweeting is an addiction, a kind of instant gratification and recognition?

For the life of me I just don't get tweeting other than for, say, teenage pop fans following their latest idol.
