Presumably it depends where SOE was sending a message from.

The Bombe operators/demonstrators at Bletchley Park could probbly have a fair go at it.

Pity Alan Turing isnt still around

It's interesting that the code-breaker chap on thge video says that it was unusual for a message from the SOE to be in code. So this one might have been something special.

Wonder if the sergeant who sent it made it home.

Well this one doesn't seem to be. confused

They probably will because many World War II codes were quite simple minded.

Just watched it again. Makes you feel funny inside. I was one year old.

I do hope they decipher it.

It was from the S.O.E....maybe they needed laundry too

absentgrana Fri 23-Nov-12 11:05:33

Probably a laundry list or "your dinner's in the oven".

vampirequeen Fri 23-Nov-12 11:03:01

It will be interesting if they manage to decode it.

Yes! I heard this it on the radio this morning. Let's see if we've still got the deciphering skills they had back then. smile
