You come back here right now and put soop out of her misery.

grin

Sorry, it has been said before that my brain doesn't seem to be wired the same way as other peoples! confused blush

I think it was just the word "passable".

And that, you Honour, is the case for the defence.

I loved Kenny Everett until he turned up at the Conservative Party Conference, but that recent BBC tribute to him made me realise just how funny he was. I was chortling away all evening [can't beat a good chortle]. Annoyingly I fell asleep during the drama about him so don't know what happened towards the end of his career. Hope they repeat it. They usually do. On the subjects of repeats, just gearing up to watch episode three of The Killing which I missed at the weekend.

Ana Mon 26-Nov-12 22:39:08

Well of course I have! It was just your rather startling leap of consciousness that alarmed me! grin

annodomini Mon 26-Nov-12 22:36:32

Oh, I see phoenix. I never liked Kenny Everett much. I was going round Speke Hall, a NT property on the edge of Liverpool when we got talking to a room steward who said he'd been at school with KE. Not sure why that should be relevant just now...time I turned in moon

Oh Ana, that's very kind, I didn't know that this extended beyond Lil's , but since you ask, I'll have a large scotch and soda, easy on the ice!

I cannot believe that you haven't seen Kenny Everetts Cupid Stunt character!

Ana Mon 26-Nov-12 22:25:39

Wot are you on, phoenix?! grin

Anne58 Mon 26-Nov-12 22:24:20

Sorry, are you familiar with that particular Kenny Everett character? "She" was often talking about nude scenes, but always said that it was done "In the best possible taste!" but with the "possible" pronounced as "passable" as the character was American.

I'll get me coat.

annodomini Mon 26-Nov-12 22:19:44

Now you really have lost me, phoenix. moon

Anne58 Mon 26-Nov-12 22:17:57

There it is again! "passable" Just makes me think of Kenny Everett as Cupid Stunt!

annodomini Mon 26-Nov-12 22:15:25

That kind of thing is what pms are for, phoenix. The Scottish grans will be meeting up in Glasgow tomorrow, if the roads are passable, of course.

Anne58 Mon 26-Nov-12 21:48:26

Perhaps I will, but I might wait a day or two!

Ana Mon 26-Nov-12 21:46:21

Perhaps you should just ask soop, phoenix? wink

jO5 Mon 26-Nov-12 21:39:31

Why does the Old Girls' Network sound more insulting than the Old Boys' Network? confused

jO5 Mon 26-Nov-12 21:38:45

Ohhh!!!!

And I thought someone was going to get an article published. Using the Old Girls' network. hmm

Anne58 Mon 26-Nov-12 21:31:52

blush It seems a bit unfair to ask soop to ask Son of Soop for advice, if you know what I mean.

kittylester Mon 26-Nov-12 21:22:13

I agree phoenix - gofrit!! wine

Anne58 Mon 26-Nov-12 20:24:08

Ana Mon 26-Nov-12 20:15:21

Ah, light is dawning! Go for it! smile

It just goes to show how a perfectly innocent post can be completely misconstrued...confused

soop Mon 26-Nov-12 20:14:35

Ana smile No worries whatsoever! I'm signing off as I wish to watch University Challenge. I love you all. flowers moon

Anne58 Mon 26-Nov-12 20:12:52

Oh Ana absolutely yonks ago, someone posted something complimentary about my posts, and made a suggestion that I didn't really take seriously at the time, but finding out about "Son of Soop" just sort of made me remember the post and got me thinking!
