I am, at the moment, in a wheelchair as I have had surgery on my Achilles tendon. My DD kindly took me shopping at Bluewater today, and it was an eye opener. Every one was so kind and helpful. EVERY one stood aside so she could get me through, people struck up conversations with me, if she left me while she went to pay for something assistants came up to me to ask if I needed anything. When I go there normally people don't stand back, hold doors and certainly don't chat. I was expecting the "does she take sugar" situation but no it was great. The only problem was we couldn't park in disabled bays as I don't have a blue badge which makes it difficult.
