On Casualty tonight, the staff had their Christmas party. Do people really start this soon? I know some venues get booked up very early.

I thought that was a bit soon! What are they actually going to do when Xmas arrives?

Good episode though. (that woman did kidnap Dylan's dog deliberately, didn't she? confused)

I'm having a Christmas lunch with the U3A writing group on Monday and dinner with NWR on Wednesday. Christmas starts now! Must think about writing my cards soon. Funny thing happened - I bought some stamps in the PO on Friday and the young man at the counter asked me if I was on benefits or a pension so I admitted to the latter and he gave me a discount. I looked this up when I got home and found that it was people on pension credit (which I'm not) and on benefits who could get this discount. So he was wrong. Should I go back and explain his mistake?

DH's Retirees' Christmas lunch is on Friday - I think they like to get it out of the way before the one they have for current employees! grin

annodomini I would take them back as I would not be entitled to them.

While I was having a manicure on Friday afternoon, the place was overrun by excited young women having airbrushed and bejewelled nails applied in preparation for a Christmas party that evening. Friday was still November. hmm

Been to one last Friday, but most are in the next week or two. The lights are being switched on in town today, though.

Being retired there are no more company Christmas dos. DD is now a homeworker so she too now misses her company Christmas Do so on 16 December we are holding our joint AGM and Company Annual Dinner at a good local pub/restaurant.
