I had to google 'biscuit' and apparently it means 'I have nothing more to say'. Why not just say nothing then?

jeni Thu 06-Dec-12 20:42:03

Not to be confused with a 'D day dodger'

jeni Thu 06-Dec-12 20:38:42

It's a jammy dodger!grin

Ana Thu 06-Dec-12 20:36:27

Yes - as I said, all I could find was 'attractive person'. I could not find any reference to 'I have no more to say'.

Greatnan Thu 06-Dec-12 20:32:40

Google!

Ana Thu 06-Dec-12 20:31:09

If it means what Mumsnet said, we could have a whole thread, after the OP, consisting of nothing but [biscuit] posts! grin

jO5 Thu 06-Dec-12 20:16:57

What's the point in having one? We've none of us got a clue how to use it. grin hmm

Ana Thu 06-Dec-12 20:14:50

So, was it someone on Mumsnet who decided it should represent 'I have no idea how to answer a post'? Where did Greatnan get her definition from? I don't know, so I need a [fbiscuit] emoticon! confused

jO5 Thu 06-Dec-12 20:10:42

the thread where it started (on Mumsnet)

Ana Thu 06-Dec-12 19:41:43

The only online slang definition I can find is:
The definition of BISCUIT is "Attractive person" or "Cookie"

Nelliemoser Thu 06-Dec-12 19:36:29

I am really not with this! confused I cannot find any explanation of the word "biscuit" other than the obvious.

Let me be basic! is CBA "cant be arsed"?

We need a new Gransnet glossary

Ana Thu 06-Dec-12 18:54:57

grin

jO5 Thu 06-Dec-12 18:41:01

Poor Cari. It was a valiant attempt. smile

Ana Thu 06-Dec-12 18:19:45

Second-class citizens, that's us! We only get their broken old cast-offs...hmm

Bags Thu 06-Dec-12 18:16:56

I think they've tried to import it from the Other Place, and failed. The Other Place has had biscuits for ages smile

jO5 Thu 06-Dec-12 17:46:22

Well, at the moment it just sounds a bit cross! And rude!

Mamie Thu 06-Dec-12 17:38:51

Didn't fbiscuit work either!

Mamie Thu 06-Dec-12 17:37:58

I think it means:
Well that just about takes the [fbiscuit]

gracesmum Thu 06-Dec-12 17:33:17

I thought it might be the closest GNHQ could get to a mince pie or a bit like a cupcake but fewer calories. Glad I haven't used it then. The worry of getting the emoticon wrong.....confused

Bags Thu 06-Dec-12 14:17:08

absent smile I love your non-existent sense of humour.

I'd offer you an abomination but I know you don't eat them.

Or is it that you just don't dunk them?

On either Fb or Twitter (I forget and CBA to look it up), "a balanced diet is a chocolate biscuit in each hand". grin

jO5 Thu 06-Dec-12 14:13:11

I think it really means, "For Gods sake leave it!"

smile

absentgrana Thu 06-Dec-12 12:35:22

Following yesterday's discussion about this piece of confectionery, I thought it now meant abomination. grin

jeni Thu 06-Dec-12 12:31:42

Why does biscuit mean that? I thought it meant calories?

Ana Thu 06-Dec-12 12:24:55

Well, it doesn't work anyway!

Greatnan Thu 06-Dec-12 12:21:32

I have just realised that the 'f' stands for festive - I thought GNHQ had got decidedly tetchy!
