This morning on Woman's Hour during a discussion on power being an aphrodisiac - this time it was women in power .... all the usual rubbish about Alan Clarke and Mitterand find Mrs Thatcher sexy.
Currie said that John Major was originally attracted to her because at the start of their affair she was in a more senior position than he (she was minister for eggs or something) 
. She went on to say that when trying to become a candidate, selection committees turned her down for being pretty so she had to tone it down a bit!
