If you've got small pototoes cut them into scallops instead.

I can taste the chips with a splash of vinegar but pots too small to chip maybe tomorrow for tea with mushy pea's and thick bread and butter. That'll do nicely I think.

Alright! I really want fish and chips now! And it's nowhere near dinnertime. And I've got to cook 'em! Sigh. hmm wink

Do you realise the overheads it needs to run a shop of this kind,if it is not doing the business the owner still has to carry a certain amount of stock and pay for services as in electric and gas and staff and council tax a massive amount before the owner even makes a profit,as I say I really feel sorry for the owner's when a business fails through lack of support from customers.

I do not really like fish with batter on.
Normally I put some soup on and have some toast with it.
I do however think every good housing estate must have a chip shop.

Should be ashamed of yourself Hunter, letting a good chip shop go to waste!!!! wink

Such a shame when a business close's,did the owner retire or did it close through lack of trade ? I would guess it was through lack of trade if all the other people in your town only visited it once in 30yrs.

I was shocked our chip shop has closed.
I used it once about 30 years ago.
