Anne58 Wed 09-Jan-13 13:50:41

Yes, and doesn't it make the windows look dirty!

Not here in Cheshire! Drizzly and cold.

Ella46 Wed 09-Jan-13 14:34:45

Thick fog this morning anno, couldn't see across the field!

Do you know, that is really spooky. After my comment up there ^^ my new window cleaner has just arrived!

Sky has also gone a funny colour, might be called blue as opposed to grey. True, it shows up state of the windows, but who's to notice?

Barrow Wed 09-Jan-13 15:23:05

Please do not be concerned about the big yellow ball in the sky - it is a natural phenomenon and won't be around for long, the sighting of blue sky is also linked to this grin

Phewwww! Thanks Barrow. I was worried the Martians had navigated through the grey stuff and were about to land! My water-pistol only fires about 4 ft up into the air so I've no defences!

The window cleaner has just finished the results are:

1) Outsides all clean grin

2) I now see how badly the insides need doing shock

3) Lily has had one of her turns confused

I'll be able to check once she comes out of the airing cupboard.

Bruha Wed 09-Jan-13 20:41:02

Oooh a window cleaner I want one

Anne58 Wed 09-Jan-13 22:30:45

Mine is very reasonable, £10. I had one a while ago, but he gave up in this area, and it's taken me a long time to find another! Today was his first visit, and when I paid him, I asked how often he came. His reply? "Well, my monthly round is usually every 6 weeks" confused

nanaej she's out, and seems to be about as close to normal as she gets, so no long term damage, daft tart that she is.

Forget the windows, time has come for dog walking, it's magic! you think, short walk enjoy sunshine, he thinks, wow i'm going out I'll show her how fast I can run and I'll find the most obnoxious stuff to roll in--even if it does mean a bath. That's the rest of the day gone walking, bathing etc. But he's so happy!!!

Apparently tomato juice is the best thing to get rid of the smell of fox s***t!

I remember only too well the way one of my dogs would be drawn to fox poo like a magnet!

Just back from 4 days in London - Birthday / Christmas Big treat. Weather was brilliant. We walked up the Mall on Tuesday and it felt like a real Spring day. Yesterday we were dazzled by the sun at the Tower but as we boarded the train at lunchtime today to head back 'Up North', the fog descended and it's been cold grey and gloomy all day. Don't care now though. I'm wrapped up in by big cardi with lots of lovely memories to keep me warm. [Should have an icon for a sick bucket here.] smile
