I was ambivalent about beards, but have to say that the pictures of Richard Armitage in the Hobbit on thorinoakenshield.net have got me reassessing that.
I also seem to be developing a liking for leather and fur.... or it could just be menopausal hot flushes.

Wouldn't you like to know Absent? But somethings just must remain privategrin

j0, that's not a beard, just a meagre face fungus.
Looking back (a long way), I must have had a predilection for beards as I had several well-bearded boyfriends. My ex had a weedy little goatee when I met him but to my surprise (and relief) appeared without it at our wedding.

Depends on the man. (Definitely bad on old men)

glammanana Sun 20-Jan-13 14:32:08

Well absent you would love mr.g. he doesn't have a hair on his head, his head looks very upside down grab a look on the profile page.

tattynan I've never met a man with a beard long enough to stand on. I don't like beards as a general rule, but sometimes they can look quite distinguished. However, I love bald headed men with beards because they look as if their heads are on upside down.

Movedalot You like your men in the plural … It's all coming out now. wink

My DH has always had a beard close cut and tidy, the one time he shaved it off many years ago the children walked past him on the drive when they came home from school and did not recognise him.The only time mr.glamma has had a longer one was last year when he was bestman at our friends wedding,he gave the speech as his alter ego "Captain Birdseye"

Movedalot Sun 20-Jan-13 14:21:09

I like my men clean shaven, never kissed a beard or a 'tach.

I've noticed beards seem to be coming back in fashion.where do you stand on them? I like a well trimmed beard on a man but long bushy ones are a no no.
