Beards

Beards ....i had one when I was in my 40s a Christopher Lee type shaped etc. I looked very sinister just like Count Dracul and sitting in the back of a car one day I thought `what a miserable b`stard I looked so I shaved it off and people actually spoke to me after..lol

Only just entered the 'beard room'. Paul Hollywood..... yes, wow. Apart from the silver fox, anyone with a beard laced with last night's spagbol is a definite no no.

My ex also wore pink shirts, and striped ones, in the 70s.

The late Mr.G wore a purple shirt and black corduroy suit when I met him 40 years ago, but never a beard or moustache!

Likewise my ex, kitty. And my DS1 wears all sorts of colours of shirts and t-shirts. DS2 is far more conventional.

My DH was wearing pink Ben Sherman's with a button down collar when I met him 43 years ago Nonu.

It is quite amazing though Kitty isn"t it , if it had been suggested 25 to 30 years ago they would have run a mile .

My husband looks good in pink shirts too, Nonu, they really suit him.

Mr Nonu has a moustache , suits him a lot .

I have never seen my husband without a beard - he grew it when he was in the Navy as a young officer -in those days it was dark but his hair fair - now he is bald and his beard white! I have the feeling that if he was to shave it off now he would look like a boiled egg! He is in demand a lot around the 25th of December and for a long time the grandchildren thought their Grandpa was actually Santa.
He looked incredibly dashing in his uniform in his youth and now he is a little rumpled around the edges but in my eyes as adorable as ever! However.....I might add......it really is mightly prickly!

My Husband has always had a beard, when we first met in 1992 he had a full grizzly Adams beard, but now he has a much shorter under control one, i love it and scrubble my fingers in it all the time :-)

My OH has designer stubble!

I loved my darlings beard. He first grew it when we bought our boat as we found out that lumpy seas and wet shaving didn't mix well!

Yes, Ana, I do care. I actually hadn't been aware of a problem until DW made an unexpected comment while reading this thread.

My DH grew a beard in the late 90's but he looked like a chechen rebel, so I made him shave it off !

I do like a hairy chest though......

Yes I do like a well trimmed beard on a man. But then I'm biassed. I've had one since 1967 (not always well trimmed, I must confess). Whether Mrs. Grumppa is that keen is another matter.

One chap that I worked with often had to be told that he had food in his beard.

Cress and errant baked beans seemed to be the most frequent offenders.

Sorry feetle but I like designer stubble given half a chance
