Who's a lucky girl then???

Not bad on the raffle front, though the posh body lotion I won last year isn't as nice as I'd hoped. Christmas 2011, a big box of chocs was great for sharing with the family. My premium bonds used to serve me well, but that income seems to have dried up recently. I very rarely 'invest' in the lottery, though the prospect of winning millions is enticing - until I look at the odds.

gooseI am well down the luck list. It would be me that if I won a raffle prize at all, would get back the unwanted item I had donated in the first place!

pogs thankfully hiding under the cover of knowing I'd never win £100,000,000, I'd find it too much money to know how to deal with! The Lottery prize money is huge amounts, I'd prefer the main prize being smaller (say a measly million!) with more smaller (maybe a few more piffling little £100's). Is it just me, or do people seem to be winning less small (£50) prizes now

My aunt ( 90 ) used to buy a lottery ticket until one day she thought ''What on earth would I do with all that money?'' and never bought another one!

Seems to me that lottery tickets were Very Exciting when they first came out -and we all thought we could possibly win the hefty sum of £10 but now I really wonder if I'd actually WANT c£100,000,000

There was someone in my welsh village who did win many prizes. One was a house cleaning service who came in to do a top to bottom spring-clean. But that did cause the gossips to say 'well the house needed it'. She was the vicar's wife.

I suppose I am quite lucky, I make more on my premium bonds than I do on my bank account.

I'm always winning stuff! Never won the lottery though. One of the best prizes I ever won was all of the goodies pictured on a 'Voted Best Beauty Product of The Year by the Industry' double page spread in a magazine. Lasted me for years, the man stood at my door with 2 bin bags full of stuff, and as soon as I saw where it had come from (I'd had no prior notice) I knew and danced a little dance! Made him laugh. I wanted to hug him.

I always buy raffle tickets but see it as a donation and don't expect to win. As my Grandad used to say "He who expects nothing usually gets it". he wasn't using it in this context but was right.

I don't buy lottery tickets tho occasionally bought one when they started. I buy charity raffle tickets but have always said that if I win its to go back in as I have a lifetimes worth of stuff which I am trying to shed.

I won £10 on the lottery the other day, but that's the first time!

I never win anything! I bought some Premium Bonds for each GC, and the same number for myself. They keep receiving small cheques, but I don't! I stopped buying National Lottery tickets, but subscribe to a few charity ones with no success. I know it is always random and I count my blessings, so not really upset.
