I have been reading brilliant trilogy by S Penman "Here be Dragons" etc on welsh history. So feeling quite welsh at the moment.
In fact i can't wait for the next gripping instalment...

Hi Notsogrand

What do you mean by half Welsh.
Both my parents were born in Wales but left before they were 6 months old.
I was born in Birmingham.
My grandparents were born in England, Wales, Scotland, and Belgium.

I'm half Welsh, does that count?

My late wife was welsh and never mentioned this day. She spent the first 7 years of her life in Wales.
Her mother grew up and went to university in Wales. She also worked as a teacher for a time in Cardiff before coming to Birmingham and again she did not say anything. She was however the headmistress of the school I went to.
She did say however that my wife was the best. She must have been correct as she was the headmistress of my school.
