I think it was right. MyMIL fell and broke her hip going to the toilet with out help because her career was a young man but she was not on the dementia ward

HUNTERF, you most certainly did do the right thing. You ensured her dignity and safety.

You did the right thing and as a result she was safe and her modesty restored. Well done for thinking on your feet.

Personally, I think you did the right thing, if it had been my relative I would have wanted someone to intervene. Hope the rest of your visit was less hecticsmile

I went to with my friend to visit his father in the nursing home today. All the residents on that floor have dementia.
Unfortunately a lot of the residents were kicking off at the same time and all of the carers were engaged with other people.
We then saw this elderly lady walking around with her underware down to her ankles so in the interest of safety we led her to a seat in her room, my friend put a duvet over her and stayed with her and after a bit of time a female carer came and dealt with the situation.
In the meantime a visitor who was nothing to do with this lady came in and was most upset 2 males were looking after this lady.
I do agree it was not ideal but were we suposed to let this lady carry on walking and possibly fall and injure herself.
