DGS' 1st birthday

Some of you will remember our youngest GS was born with heart defect and had 2 ops before he was 8wks. He will celebrate his 1st birthday next month. He had a check up today and is doing very well. Next check in 18mths smile

Any ideas what we can buy for his birthday. He has an older brother so awkward to find something he doesn't already have. grin

Buy a tree each year and when he's old enough take him to see "his wood". There may be a site near you or near where you go on holiday

My GS who also has a heart defect, was given a boyish looking doll with a soft body when he was around one by a colleague of his other grandmother. He takes it to bed with him every night and when he had his third open heart surgery at four years of age dolly was taken to hospital with him. On New Years Eve he left dolly at his parent's friend's house and asked for him every day until they got him back.
