I too have some left over batter but will it last until 2 pm when DH has to take the car in so I can be selfish and a glutton

My DH has got a strange habit of standing on the wrong side of the fridge door and peering in over the top. It doesn't work!

Yes! Mine does that too, yogagran. And if he does spy what he's looking for somewhere near the back, he makes a big show of having to move things out of the way with much tutting and sighing...

I've got some left over batter. And DH has gone out! Yes!!!

My OH will stand at the fridge door and claim that he can't find whatever it is he's looking for. He won't think of looking behind or under something - just expects everything to be at the front or jump out when he needs it

Dh came up to the bedroom today looking for some work gloves, which I knew were on his chair under yesterday's sweater. He looked around vaguely and then said 'Have you seen my work gloves? I am sure they were up here somewhere. Have you moved them?' I said 'No, they are still where you left them.' and I left him to it. It did eventually occur to him to lift the various items of his clothing lying around and look under them and wonder of wonders, there were his gloves.

I buy DH pyjamas for going on holiday and then he doesn't wear them and leaves them under the pillow in the hotel! It happens everytime!!

DH does the ironing and has to put his own clothes away, he used to accuse me of moving things around when he was at work. I touch nothing of his now so if he can't find it tough

I just dump Mr Ms smalls on the top of his chest of drawers and leave him to it.

feetlebaum The thing about Mr absent was that he was really taken by pyjamas when they were provided by the hospital, so I trotted out and bought him several pairs ready for when he was discharged. He wore them for a week and then complained about being too hot – after spending several weeks in an overheated hospital ward.

Mr Glass was in the kitchen last night and said where do we keep the cups I wont tell you my reply... and the cupboards have not been re-arrange so he cant use that as an excuse.

I'm on Mr absent's team... I possess two, count 'em, two pairs of pyjamas. I bought them for a week's hospital stay, and since then they have remained in the airing cupboard - six years ago that was...

I have three tatty old tee-shirts that reserve for cold-weather sleeping, and the underpants are necessary because, possessing masculine accoutrements which are external, without said underwear not everything turns over when you do... and that is both uncomfortable and distressing...

Anyway, these days, nobody sees me!

"My jumper's been moved." (Implied - "By you.")

Make him wear a nightie or go to town himself.

I know exactly where Mr absent's several pairs of smart navy blue pjs are and so does he, but will he wear them? No he prefers to sleep in a tatty old tee shirt and a pair of underpants in spite of telling me how much he liked wearing pjs when he was in hospital. Must have been delirious.

It's not just clothes they can't find though is it?

My DH has trouble locating such mundane things as the condiments (always kept in the same cupboard) but he is now quite good at finding and using the washing machine. (After 48 years of marriage I reckon that's quite impressive) Finding mundane things must surely come in time!

Why are men incapable of locating their own clothes?
"Do I have any socks?" I don't know - have you looked in the sock drawer?
Where are my vests? - see above answer, substituting "underwear" for "sock".
Perhaps if they put their own clothes away they would recognise the location of said garments and look first.
How many women go "Do I have any tights/socks/knickers/ (that one for messenger) jumpers/t shirts???
