That was the story of a 17-year-old motorist who took out two cars (plus his own), a stone-built wall and cast-iron railings and gate, when he skidded outside my house one wet night. He'd passed his test that week. He and his passenger were fine and they were busy texting their friends to show them what they'd accomplished. That first crash seems to be a rite of passage.

I did have some sympathy with a 17 year old driver who hit a child once.
He had passed his test that day.
People were saying he should never have been allowed on the road and should be disqualified but the child came out of a give way sign on his bike.
The police did a drinks test and checked the skid marks etc but decided it was not the motorists fault.
People were horrified when he was allowed to get in his car and drive away but accidents do happen and they say when a 17 year old passes his test it is a safe bet he will be involved in at least 2 accidents in his driving career.

I hope whoever was driving that car was found out! Horrific!

Amazing that they escaped unhurt.

I have just walked down to the shop to get some milk.
I saw 1 car going through a red light.
2 cars overtaking on zig zags.
2 drivers on their mobile phones.
I have just picked this out when it was semi dark.
I think they could employ a few more police officers and pay them with the fines they will collect.
The above mentioned people are just nutters putting lives at risk.

Oh Frank alas I think too many people only take heed of the 11th commandment of not being found out and will do some appallingly dangerous things if they think they can get away with it.

Just looked at this video and the first thing which hit me in the eye is the car was overtaking on a crossing within the zig zag line area.

I must say I see a car either parked on zig zags or overtaking on zig zags every few days.

The other thing which has happened to me several times in the last few weeks is cars overtaking me crossing 2 solid white lines in the middle of the road and I have been doing 60mph in a 60 mph limit.
Am I the only one who thinks I should comply with the law while driving?.
