My manager is a medium (if you believe in that sort of thing!) who says it's a boy, so we might be ok. The girl's name is lovely but QUITE unusual and definitely not something that one could yell from the back door!

There is a chap who works for one of the Local Authorities that was a client called Dylan Champion.

Nothing wrong with that really, but it always made me think half horse, half rabbit.

I have friends Hazel Hazel and Lynsey Lindsay. I went to school with a girl called Theresa Green.

Our local vet many years ago was called Peter Knutt, his sign read P.Knutt, and his wife, no lie, was called Hazel.

When I was on jury service about 10 years ago the young defence barrister was called Cary Grant. I wondered if his parents were fans or just unaware!

yamyam I don't know. It was in NZ and he claimed it was a friend of a friend. But then they do always say that when telling apocryphal stories/ urban myths don't they.

An Irish Catholic friend told me that her brother's middle name is Mary. She claims it is not unusual in Ireland, but I have never heard of another.
When working in a hospital I used to hear a lot of unusual names, which would be listed with surname first, such as Rolls, Royce: Gotobed, Mary: Phanphart, Fanny (yes really!):Peachey, Cherry: Berrill, Beryl and Joyce Joyce.

In our local BT Telephone Directory a few years ago there was listed a William Whanker...(wonder how many peole shortened his name to Willy

A Doris Morris was a cousin of our 'best man's' mum!

Worked briefly for a company with a client by name of Onion. His initials were A.N.

I used to work for a Solicitors practice which had a large number of West Indian clients - I lost count of the number of girls/women called Princess

But i did have a patient once called Dwayne Pipe.
