Morning from grey drizzly London, I have a bad case of going on Gransnet all day if I'm not careful, and I have lots to do

Good morning from tyne /wear ,its freezing but bright my day is hospital visiting and a bit shopping x

I still can't quite get a shoe on the foot that was operated on last week, so I've been enjoying a guilt free rest, interspersed with very short bursts of much needed hoovering!
I am getting extremely lazy in my old age middle age

I woke up bright and early, took all my tablets, went back to bed and read for a bit, dropped off and woke up feeling exhausted at 9.15! Another dreary day out there and my good intentions about dealing with laundry are drifting away....

sounds v interesting, DP. I'm off on a shopping spree to find 18 nice little presents for DGS 18th birthday. All the DGC get a bag with 18 presents to open at their 18th birthday party amid much hilarity and an album of photos telling their story so far-also good for a laugh!

Very low cloud in 'sunny Bournemouth' - when I first came back to the UK that was the thing that got me down the most - day after day of low cloud - not raining but not sunny either. However, today I am volunteering, with other younger members from work, to assist the Poole Parks Department with clearing away one of our Chines. My DD has advised me to look out for condoms and needles whilst in the underbush - but I think I'm in charge of the bonfire and the secatuers for chopping up the branches. We are being given a free lunch and as I work for Waitrose it'll be a good one. It's one of my 2 work days but if you volunteer you still get paid if it falls on a work day.
