Back on thread........I got up today after several days in bed with the jolly puking bug - still not eating much, but I am vertical now! Soup has been consumed like a proper invalid. Tomorrow will be the turning point I am sure.

Two wee GSs arrived unexpectedly and that lifted the spirits enormously.

Frinto-on-Sea celebgran - boy does that take me back!! I spent a large chunk of my childhood (12 years) in Hadleigh Essex, and Frinton was our day out at the weekend in the summer - I can see it now in my mind's eye!

One vivid memory is driving there during the mixamatosis outbreak and Dad had to stop to put a poor rabbit out of its misery by the roadside.

But all the other memories are truly wonderful. Give my love to Frinton please!

Dull old day here, but not really cold. Bunged up with a cold, no sleep last night cos I couldn`t breathe properly, so feeling a bit of a misery today.

Stansgran Fri 01-Mar-13 12:35:42

My mum was a pessimist obviously .she said laugh before 7 cry before 11. Light rain here in NE but the sun has arrived with lovely blue sky. Achieved NOTHING as DH couldn't access his outlook express so I've had to sort it out before he threw the computer into the bin. I've changed his password. Wanted to change it to 1nc0mp3t3ntt3chn0ph0b3 but decided not to.didnt want to rub salt into the wound.

Hugely impressed to get a 'phone call from my optician at 10am to say my new specs were ready - only went for an eye test on Tuesday! (Better not advertise but they do save you on specs!) Just picked them up and they are great.

Morning from fife beautiful nice and dry and the sun is out. Have not been outside yet but it's better than rain.

j08 Fri 01-Mar-13 11:08:28

You are all turning into Sagazoners.

glassortwo Fri 01-Mar-13 11:05:26

Good morning very dull here in the North East, but not really cold.
Talking about fasting blood tests I went on Monday for mine and found that my appointment was for Tuesday and there was nobody who could take them so I had two fasting days, that will teach me for not writing it down hmm

kittylester Fri 01-Mar-13 10:26:29

Last time I went to the GP anno my appointment was 7.40am shock even blood tests don't come that early!

gracesmum Fri 01-Mar-13 10:23:40

You've been busy anno!! Still in PJs after a dull start to the day but I see breaks in the cloud and glimpses of blue! sunshine It's like my Mum used to say "Rain before 7, fine by 11" (Usually not true, but said to console me whenever what we had planned for the day looked to be a wash-out!)

annodomini Fri 01-Mar-13 10:22:07

Not even a blood test this time kitty. I managed to get my GP's first appointment of the day which is some achievement. She is not one to observe the 10 minute rule and her appointments frequently overrun, so that if you get a later one, you are likely to have a long wait. Results of last blood test are very reassuring!

kittylester Fri 01-Mar-13 10:18:30

Crumbs anno. Fasting blood tests are good for getting you going aren't they. I usually collapse about 10.30 though. sunshine

Ella46 Fri 01-Mar-13 10:17:29

Morning all, dull here near the airport. I'm still in my d/gown as I was awake from 4am. That's my excuse anyway sunshine

annodomini Fri 01-Mar-13 10:13:27

Morning all. Not sunny in N Cheshire yet. Have been to the doctor, the library and the garage where I picked up the wheel I left yesterday to have a new tyre fitted. Now back home for a brew and G'net.

celebgran Fri 01-Mar-13 10:00:33

london Fri 01-Mar-13 09:53:37

morning all ..dull hear in tyne/wear ,but look,s like the sun might shine x

Grossi Fri 01-Mar-13 08:44:31

kittylester, sorry to hear that you are feeling dull and grey. Hopefully the baking will at least give you a glow of achievement! sunshine

We have sunshine at last but the temperature is only forecast to reach three degrees centigrade, so no hope of shedding my thermals yet (insert slightly shivery emoticon).

kittylester Fri 01-Mar-13 07:42:37

Dull and grey, both weatherwise here in leicestershire and personally.

My first task is two make 2 gf cakes for SiL to take in for her staff, one of whom is a coeliac - a real compliment to be asked. smile

Glad the exsaga zoners had a good meet up, Michael

Bez Fri 01-Mar-13 07:34:02

Sunny and frosty here again - but now just above freezing.
