It is true that in most occasions we are too strict for ourselves, we ask, require and force ourselves to do so many things that we are unwilling to, why don't we being gentle to ourselves to let those annoying things go? we all should learn to set ourselves with a voice button, why not do it right now? smile Let's do it together, do you?

Mercedes Now that I'm retired I love to let things go. I don't force myself to do things unless I really really have to. I do things I enjoy, and care little if they are not appropriate to my age, such as going to a Doctor Who convention, spending hours in the garden playing daft games with my Golden Retriever, or doing a bit of guerrilla gardening in the waste ground behind the railway station.

I see you are Chinese - my daughter-in-law is a Chinese (Cantonese) Australian. I love her - she regards herself as my daughter. She is a very clever girl, a scientist, and she and my son make a point of enjoying life as much as possible.

Ana Fri 01-Mar-13 12:14:16

I'm not going blue again because I don't like the thought of my posts being tracked. Paranoid, moi? hmm

harrigran Fri 01-Mar-13 12:10:48

Agree jingle I didn't put TV, films or books on my profile, why would anyone care what I watched.

j08 Fri 01-Mar-13 11:56:11

It (profile) doesn't say a lot, but who is really interested in what I watch on the telly?!

j08 Fri 01-Mar-13 11:53:10

What's a bit harsh? * Mercedes* asked me to do a profile and I have.

merlotgran Fri 01-Mar-13 11:31:56

I've only just noticed that jingle's gone blue again. confused

Gally Fri 01-Mar-13 11:31:01

annodomini Fri 01-Mar-13 11:29:13

That's a bit harsh, J0. Mercedes was only asking to get to know you better. I wonder what that 'profile' tells her about you.

j08 Fri 01-Mar-13 11:01:54

Done that (profile) #goodluckwiththat

Galen Fri 01-Mar-13 10:54:51
