March comes in like a ....

We had a nice sunny day on Monday. I think it came in more lamb-like. So should be going out like a lion. Not good.

It's supposed to be a summer weather forecasting thing. Like raining on St Swythins day.

The weather never settles properly until after the 3rd April. How can I be so precise? It's my birthday and over the years it's been wet and windy far more often than warm and pleasant. I even remember a couple of birthdays when it snowed.

The old phrase was definitely "In like a lion and out like a lamb".

Last Tuesday was glorious here, really spring like.

However I'm keeping a close eye on the trees, particularly the oaks and the ashes!

Have just been looking at photos of GC playing in the garden in shorts and T shirts, the date was 25th March last year. We had all the garden furniture out and had coffee, cake and ice cream, what are the chances this year ?

Well I note it's Cheltenham this week, that normally means snow!

I remember that nice weather last March, mainly because it was pretty much the last decent weather we had before what was laughingly called the summer.
