Unfortunately my low fuel light came on yesterday so I will have to put in about £5 worth as I have got to go on a 10 mile round trip this afternoon.

I never ever allow the low fuel warning light to come on .

Low fuel can cause damage to the car .

Oh dear, Frank - that'll have cost you 12p or thereabouts more than it would have done tomorrow! shock

Hi Nonu

Just to let you know I put some petrol in the car and I have done my journey.
The low fuel light is not on now.
The car travelled a total of 3 miles with it on.
When I trade my car in for a new one the low fuel light is always on and I take the tax disc with me to claim a refund.

Nonu everyone know's that don't they we ladies are so clued up aren't we ? my little car is never allowed to run down low and if I decided to change my car I would negotiate a full tank of petrol as part of the deal along with a full years road tax or I don't sign the sales form.Along with all the other extra's I insist on at the time.

Hi glammanana

I negotiate a full years road tax and tax disk when I change my car but I hand in my old car with an empty tank and without any tax.

Nonu

The council is going to take the tree away and they have agreed to put my garden as it was.
Yes I put £10 worth of petrol in my car and I have driven 22 miles.

Frank

I am glad you are happy about the tree , "All is well that ends well" !

You certainly know how to splash the cash , I thought you said you were only going to put a £5 worth in .

Last of the big spenders!hmm

gracesmum Wed 13-Mar-13 16:52:10

You get a full year's road fund with a new car and you only have to reclaim the balance on your old one to get a refund. No big deal smile

Ana Wed 13-Mar-13 16:53:54

Ooh - that's 12p thrown away....grin

I wish I`d been able to log on here this morning. Hubby had a 5p a litre voucher for Tesco petrol, and went too fill up this morning! Feeling a bit peeved now.
