The police do have to give the reason why they have stopped you.
The officer did say if there had not been a complaint they would have not carried out any test as it was obvious I had not been drinking.

The mind boggles !! how do you know someone reported you I'm sure the Police did not tell you, anyway why is it a waste of time there was obviously a chance a test may have proved positive,I am not insinuating that you would drink and drive but the Police have to be 100% sure its their job,you pay for their services in the Council Tax that you pay up front from your London Pension.

Frank, I just don't know how you cope with the drama that is your life. Mine is so boring by comparison.

Been to the Garrick tonight and somebody reported me to the police for drink driving.
Unaware of this I drove back towards Sutton Coldfield and got stopped and the reading came up nil as expected as I have not had an alcoholic drink for about a week.
It may be amusing to these idiots but would they have liked it if the police were needed elsewhere to deal with something urgent possibly one of their relatives while they were looking for me.
