Looking back at Jadey's post , I think that there is an important distinction to be made, there is a member with the user name of Hunter and then there is the user name HunterF , which is Frank. To be fair, Frank does always put "Frank" at the end of every post he makes, not just the OP.

I do think that it's important to understand the difference, otherwise there could be upset and confusion, which is the last thing we need!

I think Frank is fun. I also belong to a weight loss and fitness online forum. On chat there is one guy who seems to be the butt of jokes and comments but he keeps coming back and obviously enjoys winding up others.

I do not think a Lot of people are mean to hunter , a Lot are quite pleasant to him .

I am sure he takes the bitter with the better , and shrugs it off .

I reckon Frank deliberately repeats himself to see the reactions.

Orca, Frank's apparent egocentricity is part of what I find funny about him and his posts. I just skim over the long, boring ones!

Ana sorry to be a grump but what is funny in small amounts just gets too much in overdose mode. And I'd have thought someone as kind and caring as yourself would find the egocentricity unacceptable.

You're obviously a big softie where your DGDs are concerned and for that alone I still like you Frank. I may not agree with the way you go about things - or a lot of your opinions - but you certainly add a certain piquancy to a thread.

Jadey Threads don't actually belong to the person who made the opening post. Some gransnetters have been known to get a bit fed up because the thread they have started has wandered off into a completely different subject but, other than continuing to post on the original topic themselves, there is nothing they can do about it.

Why is everyone so horrid to this hunter I dont understand, I dont see the need to be horrid and so rude to him, if you dont wish to post on his thread then dont, but being horrible to him should not be permitted and I dont undersatnd why it is allowed to go on by GN HQ.

I have read his threads and they are not that bad, he is always polite and replys to anyone that posts on his thread.

So why is he treated so badly and why does he continue coming back after being treated so rudely!
