Writing initials in my diary.

Does anyone else write 'initials' in their diary and then can't for the life of them remember what they stand for. I would be most obliged if someone can tell me what DonB stands for. It, apparently, is happenning on Wednesday. the silliest one was written in a diary that did not give much information. I had written GF on one day and ES on the next but one day. I said to my friend ''I'll just have to wait and see if anyone rings up and says where are you!'' My friend looked at it and said,''Silly! It's Good Friday and Easter Monday.'' She was right!

No, your friend was wrong; ES is Easter Sunday, Hunt!

Too right! I'll write out 100 times 'I must take more care'.

I used to code many online passwords like that until I realised many were so obscure I could not fathom them out.

Not in a diary but on the calendar. DH asked me what all the WCs were written at two week intervals and why was it important ? Every time the window cleaner comes I mark it on the calendar so that I will know when he is next due and can unlock the gate.

Problem solved! It wasn't DomB but DamB and it was code for Damian's Birthday. What a good job I had already sent his card. So glad I'm not the only person who does this. Wonder if there is anyone for whom it caused a disaster or do we all eventually remember before it is too late?

My DD was thumbing through the diary I keep by the phone and seriously asked me if the black /grey I had written on alternate weeks was indicative of the state of OH's moods!! She looked quite relieved when I told her it's the colour if the bin I have to put out grin
