Why does mine seem to need turning out practically every two weeks? Why have I not managed to get matching pillowcases for God knows how long? Who put that bag of flanells right at the back (thought we were getting low on them! hmm

And how do you lose a sheet?!

Do charity shops take sheets (no longer deep enough) and odd pillowcases?

Well, it was originally supposed to signify "Goodnight" or a sort of signing-off emoticon, but I think Nonu just likes it! grin

May I ask what the moon represents? Boredom?

Whenim64, did you notice the smell of whiskey in the air? Did you eat at Miss Mary Bobos?

My favourite visit was to the JD distillery, Envious. A very funny afternoon with some great characters.

I have an airing cupboard/wardrobe which has hot water pipes going up the walls.
I hang my summer or winter clothes in there and above has several shelves for bedding, towels and spare duvets.
I have to take step ladders in there to reach stuff on the top shelf!

Envious - love Tennessee, beautiful state! smile

I miss my airing cupboard - I had a large water tank taken out and it made room for the shower. I used to put bedding and towels on a couple of shelves, seedlings to grow on another, bread dough on yet another shelf, and a demijohn or two of wine to bubble away on another - brought my home made wine on a treat.

I would also love to have a walk-in pantry - just not enough room in this little house.

Very cold here in Dundee. Taking an Easter 2 week break from the grandchildren and DS.
Sadly the heating in the house is broken and we have been here since Saturday... the part needed not available until Tuesday. .Would give anything for the airing cupboard!!!
DH and I have been sitting with hot water bottles on our knees like a pair of brass monkeys.
Went on the bus with our bus passes to Aberdeen just for the warmth....sunny there!! Roll on tomorrow and I can put the washing away in a warm airing cupboard.envy

Saw one of the instant bolied water taps recently called a Quooker..but same thing.

Yogurt was what I used my airing cupboard for and for dough! Now the combi does not require a water tank I just use the cupboard for towels etc and put the dirty washing basket in the space where the water tank was!

Bed linen in the under bed drawers.

Love to meet you all. A lot of British visit a small town south of here that has the Lynchburg distillery where they make Jack Daniels whiskey.

Im in Tennessee. A very pretty state.

Enviousamerican Mon 25-Mar-13 18:04:03

Insinkulaters are great! They use to be very popular here,I never had one but they don't seem to be used as much.People seem to be so hung up on getting stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. mostly young people but if you are trying to sell your house that's what people want. Do you find young people expect the best when just starting out?

Nonu Mon 25-Mar-13 18:00:34

Envious , you say two states away in Ohio , what State are you in ?

Enviousamerican Mon 25-Mar-13 17:57:40

As far as the weather,we are expecting our first accumulation of snow!We have had some dusting of snow twice. two states away they have 6 inches in Ohio and expecting much more up north. That why they use boilers!

Nonu Mon 25-Mar-13 17:57:04

JO , one final point about the insinkulater , it does boil , otherwise the tea would be rubbish , but it not a rolling boil like a kettle .

I most certainly would not put my hand under it . Would recommend them to anyone though .

Now IM envious!envy warm!!!!!

Nonu Mon 25-Mar-13 17:46:01

Envious , I get it , you live more South , so do not need as much heat.

Nonu Mon 25-Mar-13 17:42:38

Tea and coffee taste no different , whatsoever , and we drink a fair amount of tea through the day .
The real beauty as far as I am concerned though , is that it is instant , no waiting for kettles to boil .

Enviousamerican Mon 25-Mar-13 17:39:43

They use boilers up north for heating, not sure if they use water or gas.Not used in the south. We have gas and electric for heat and water heaters.Dont have knowledge of heating your house with warm water in radiators?

j08 Mon 25-Mar-13 17:37:12

Oh I've heard of those. What's the tea like? They don't quite reach boiling point do they? Be good for coffee though.

Nonu Mon 25-Mar-13 17:32:56

My boiler does not heat the kitchen water I have a clever thing called an insinkulater , which also takes the place of a kettle .

Hey presto instant hot water .

smile

Nonu Mon 25-Mar-13 17:30:11

Envious as you probably already know we are freezing to bits here .

What is the weather like where you are ?
