Hello - lovely morning here - we really are very lucky although there is ice on the bird bath - the pigeons are skating! Off to play short mat bowls later on this morning, I am leaving the other half with strict instructions about the lunch, not sure if he will remember!

Good morning! Still a nip in the air but a gloriously sunny morning. Have been out with the hounds for our morning walk. Washing machine is whirling around and there is a pan of vegetable soup bubbling away on the hob.

The central heating died last night so now hoping and praying that an engineer will fix it today.

Off to Play World this afternoon with DS2 and DGC 1+2 grin

Wet here this morning and the local paper is forecasting damp and rainy for the next few days - pity as DD arrived last night hoping to see a bit of our sun!

Morning, lovely sunny day here, have my Runrig on full blast to get me in the mood. Off to Curves in a while while my DDH does his 40 minute walk. Still worry when I am not with him but I suppose that will go eventually.

Good morning all, woke up to a full blown snow storm this morning, again.
Glad to say its all cleared now and the SUN is shining. Still freezing though.
Doing some cleaning this morning, well I was but the laptop was calling me, so had to put first things first. sunshine

Kintyre is bathed in glorious sunshine. After six days, power has been restored to the village, 'though some people along winding lanes, are still housebound.

We've been to Campbeltown with our friends from whom we hope to purchase the orchard plot. Spent a fruitful thirty minutes with their solr. We then sampled excellent fish and chips at the newly refurbished Royal hotel.

Rory is making a good recovery. He's certainly more mobile and is very affectionate with us. He's sitting just inside the open fron door. I wish that I could read his mind!

Our friends remarked...'that cat came from nowhere in particular. He was offered scraps of food, brought his wifelet and kits into your garden, moved into a wheelie-bin furnished with an igloo cat basket, then moved into his kennel apartment [with door mat and fleece blankets], on into your home on a part-time basis, and is now waited on hand and foot by two besotted humans.' Not bad going, all things considered! wink

Glad you finally made it to the Royal, Soop, it was still looking decrepit and sorry for itself when we were last in Campbeltown, looks beautiful on their website.
Have you taken any pics of your snow drifts?
It`s been sunny and dull alternately here today, cold, but not excessively so. Our gas fire needs servicing I think, keeps going off, just hope it lasts till the warmer weather comes, it`s too cold to be without a fire for a few hours.

number The Royal, like much of Campbeltown, has had a makeover. You will see such an improvement when you next visit. It's a pity that the ferry to Ireland is no longer operating.

Mr soop saw the 11' snowdrifts when in the convoy [led by a snow plough] into Tarbert. He didn't have the camera with him. Such a pity. He said that he'd never seen anything quite like it. It was, for a time, one way traffic...single lane, which took ages to cover the distance of 14 miles. En route to Campbeltown, this morning, we counted 16 Scottish Electric heavyweight vehicles and vans. Those engineers have done a stirling job in restoring the power to so many homes. flowers
